I read an awesome blog by this man who calls himself "The Tattooed Preacher." His blog dealt with going through times of uncertainty about God and His purpose when going through a difficult season(s). Sometimes God will allow a season of difficulties and the testimony will enlighten other members of the body to act on and react to their own situations which hopefully, will begin a season of battle in their spiritual lives.
Jesus, during His ministry talked about how Satan comes to, kill, steal and destroy. The most powerful organ in the human body is the brain which links to every other organ in the whole body. The brain communicates with the other organs commanding them to perform certain functions so; the body is powerless with out the mind in its case. When Satan comes to our mind, and this occurs mostly in the midst of some circumstances he will attack the mind first, once the mind has been tainted it will manifest all types of wrong acts in our lives if we react to those things remote of Gods Word. There's so much pain and suffering in the world that we need God to give us understanding and comfort.
What I'm learning is that God will allow us pain and suffering whether or not we are being obedient. We can follow and love Him with out whole hearts and still go through trials and tribulations the difference when you're obedient to the Lord is that you're equipped to handle those trials and tribulations, you trust Him, His word and who He says that you are in Christ our Lord.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. (1Pe 1:3-9)
Our trials are preparing us for glory; we must go through them to build our hope and faith in the Lord and our character. Imagine being appointed by man instead of God for your purpose with out ever going through a trial or tribulation in your life. What ministry will you include for the people of God who need comfort and guidance from a sister or brother in Christ? And God forbid if a condition comes into your life it may consume you because God did not equip you, man did and man does not have the power that the Holy Spirit has to bless you and help you with what you're going through.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (1Pe 4:12-19)
