We Have An Advantage

Christian believers have a great advantage over those that oppose the faith.  We are able to go directly to the throne room of God for those things that we need and trust Him for.   We we pray, let's consider those that are out of the way, God loves them too and wants to also adopt them into His family like  He did with us.  They just need our prayer and support that His love and conviction may draw them in.

Happy Holidays

People Mistakenly Misrepresent God

I was having a conversation with a Pastor and he asked me something's about my growing up and how my guardians (Grandparents) taught me about the Lord. I explained to him that my grandparents, in their ignorance, misrepresented things of God. Some things that I was told about God I later found out weren't quite true. As a young child I was in ways afraid of God but not in reverence or respect but literal fear like you'd fear a monster or ghost. The bible teaches that "God has not given us the spirit of fear but, power, love, and a sound mind." He told me that by teaching me the ways of God my grandparents did me a favor, never mind the fact that I really didn't understand Gods love by their teaching. Needless to say I was so taken a back and disgusted by what this preacher was saying because of my experience and how a lot of inner healing took place when I decided to learn from God for myself. I gained a totally different perspective of God. I was also told that some need to be scared into salvation. For an ignorant child, scaring someone into salvation is already the false view of the gospel. If I were committing crimes in the street and searing my own conscience then yes, I need to be saved with fear. If, I'm a 7 year old child with minimal understanding I should be sat down and explained the Gospel of Christ. People mistakenly misrepresent God for a few reasons one of them is that they do not understand his love or their value. God is love and when we're headed down a dangerous path He warns us but He also lets us know of His love and that he wants us to be in unity with Him. We're His children, and what loving Father doesn't want unity with his kids?

I'll add more to this in a few days but first I'd like to ask; has God ever been misrepresented to you? In what way and how did regain true revelation of His nature?

Yeah Well, Who Asked You Anyway?

People can be cruel.  Now that, that has been established how would you handle it if you're a believer or just a person not looking to be tossed and turned by every word someone says about you?   IDENTITY, Identity, identity!!! Your very important 3-in-1 word. No one has a right to determine you, but you the only living being that has a right to give you identity is God, our Creator. Our identity is found in knowing him anything else is second rate and more often than not ungodly in nature.   People are going to say, you're stupid, lazy, ugly, a waste of space, a looser etc etc BUT who's listening to that when you have a calling and destiny that you're trying to pursue for your own life ?  A solidified identity is  found in the Word of God which says, Jeremiah 1:5  Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. God was telling Jeremiah here that he even before he was formed in his mothers womb he knew everything about him that means he also knew His purpose and destiny with Jeremiah.

Man doesn't have all the answers to our questions and we're certainly  all learning, for no one knows everything and opinions are certainly what they are.  Pray for those that hurt you and speak out against you, that use you, that persecute you and watch the blessings fall in your direction as you gain strength and confidence in  God and in your self, that's what God wants he wants us to be confident in Him and in our selves.

Christian People Learning How to Deal with Difficult Times

By Kim Brock

I read an awesome blog by this man who calls himself "The Tattooed Preacher." His blog dealt with going through times of uncertainty about God and His purpose when going through a difficult season(s). Sometimes God will allow a season of difficulties and the testimony will enlighten other members of the body to act on and react to their own situations which hopefully, will begin a season of battle in their spiritual lives.

Jesus, during His ministry talked about how Satan comes to, kill, steal and destroy. The most powerful organ in the human body is the brain which links to every other organ in the whole body. The brain communicates with the other organs commanding them to perform certain functions so; the body is powerless with out the mind in its case. When Satan comes to our mind, and this occurs mostly in the midst of some circumstances he will attack the mind first, once the mind has been tainted it will manifest all types of wrong acts in our lives if we react to those things remote of Gods Word. There's so much pain and suffering in the world that we need God to give us understanding and comfort.

What I'm learning is that God will allow us pain and suffering whether or not we are being obedient. We can follow and love Him with out whole hearts and still go through trials and tribulations the difference when you're obedient to the Lord is that you're equipped to handle those trials and tribulations, you trust Him, His word and who He says that you are in Christ our Lord.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. (1Pe 1:3-9)

Our trials are preparing us for glory; we must go through them to build our hope and faith in the Lord and our character. Imagine being appointed by man instead of God for your purpose with out ever going through a trial or tribulation in your life. What ministry will you include for the people of God who need comfort and guidance from a sister or brother in Christ? And God forbid if a condition comes into your life it may consume you because God did not equip you, man did and man does not have the power that the Holy Spirit has to bless you and help you with what you're going through.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (1Pe 4:12-19)

To sum up with this group of scripture is saying, DON'T GIVE UP!!! Keep seeking and striving for God. Those that do never regret the blessings that comes from their reliance on the Heavenly Father, our God and Creator.

Choices

Before my job, I went 7 months with out any work or unemployment income. That time was very hard for me but since I have a job now seems so far in the distances. I was so very thankful for this job once it was offered to me and I was excited to see how the store was ran exactly. 3 months later I'm in a bit of a conflict. I already mapped out how i was going to approach this job, quiet, cordial and professional. The store didn't match my expectations at all, often I'm talked down to because I'm quiet on the job, most people that know me know that when I'm comfortable I'm definitely a talker and opinionated but that's among friends and in a more comfortable situation. The people that I work with aren't my friends, they're my co-workers so there's a level of respect that has to go with the job. I've also noticed the amount of back bitting that occurs. I remember being in high school and doing it and i still make that mistake but I recognize what I do so i don't want to add fire to the flames with it. What bothers me most though is just the way I'm treated as an employee. it's not cause for a bigger complaint I just need to decided what I'm going to do with the situation that's been given to me.

A soft answer turns away wrath but grievous words stir up anger so says the biblical proverb. When you are striving to be one with the creator adversity will most definitely come your way, not because you deserve it but because the 'world' hates good, hates security. For example In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were mad by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5

Also ....

He that believeth on him is not condenmed: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19. And this is the condemnation that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20. For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:18-21

No one person is perfect and when we have accepted Christ as Lord of our lives and God as a Father and Creator, in this dark world we are going to be subject to a lot of things we may not desire to be. No matter what I face on my job my integrity is always going to be at the forefront , I believe, because I'm doing something different than what everyone else is doing and I'm in Christ. And in the condition that this world is in morally we got to strive for God and keep the faith in Him
